                                        The leading medical center as seen from the exclusive enclave

It is an auspicious moment as I create this blog site for medical entrepreneurship.  I am readying this for my next assignment for teaching MBA -H  entrepreneurship subject for MDs and other health workers. I taught for about 4 batches of MDs and then it ended abruptly.  I could relate to MDs in teaching entrepreneurship because:  Lately, a former student who now heads the MBAH program  Dra Gloan Adolor requested me to teach the subject again despite being a senior citizen now.

Before materials and assignments of both MDs and non MDs were lumped together

This site will accept assignments, and where I would publish on line materials, references and more

 1.  I worked for five years as a drug representative and was associated with MDs for quite a while.  To pass as drug representative, you must pass basic medical knowledge and basic pharmacology.  To be able to detail a product, you must memorize your drug,  its price and pharmacology. I happened to work at division  of a large local drug company that had specialty products for physicians;

2.  I have a sister who is a physician who is working abroad;

3.  I wanted to be a doctor but early on, our family cant afford medical education.

4.   I have been doing a lot of work for MDs lately:  those who put diverse business and or doctors hospital.

I have been able to tweak the MBA syllabus to fit the doctors interest and experience.

Lately one of my interest is to lower health care cost (against what I earlier taught doctors to maximize revenues/opportunity seeking)   When two great medical center emerged especially in expensive sections of MM, health care costs shot sky high. Whatever happened to Hippocrates oath.

The local MDs and hsopitals followed US models of promoting interest of pharma and hospitals, How can we attend to the needs of majority of Filipinos who can not afford current health care costs, who will die without seeing a doctor in their lifetime
