In our faculty meeting last April 2016, Dra Gloan Adolor stressed that the MBAH program aims to develop the following in the students:
1. Spirituality
2. Creativity
3. Critical thinking
I would like to add physical fitness. Doctors also get sick and because they are stressed, they tend to over eat and become overweight. They too get sick
1. Spirituality
That is being taken care of Ethics subject. It is distinct from being religious which involve only doing a rite regularly like praying and going to church. I think most MDs have figured this out ie when they decided to become one. Spirituality is about ones relation to his Creator/Supreme being and his fellow men. We can emphasize this in this course by some of the religious songs and digging more into the works in the likes of Dr. Ranada and Dra Burgos.
2. Creativity
Making a business plan, weekly submission of NU 10 will tend to squeeze our creative juices to participate in the continuing creation of the world. We will do some dry cooking in the class, and if possible a demo of a 3d printers What can it do for start up and MVP (minimum viable product) from Start Ups by Eric Ries
Make your own product with 3d printer
Amazing things built from 3d printing
3. Critical and analytical thinking
This is a graduation skill for MBA. This is the Harvardian Method. It involves the ability to answer 5 whys in a given problem or case. We explore that, we do agitate our brain with several case analyses. These are solo flights to develop and make stronger our ability to reason out, defend our position, hypotheses on our two feet. This is Cogito Ergo Sum at its best (I think therefore I am) for business situation. Entrepreneurship.
Buy your case book now. We start next week with case analysis (practice)
