< time to move on to the other parts; we should be 50% done with the BP)Submission of Group Reports
Innovation in health care in many ways
Subsequent group activity reports after the crime commission are required.
1. The group Iron Chef presentation
This is meant to give us a first experience on product concept, product planning, process, execution and making the sales pitch.
The groups must submit the name, the menu, (the ingredients and process)
Writing this is a practice in the product portion of the Business Plan. You have the concept (idea, ideation) and then you moved to product itself. Submission of the product portion of the BP should be a piece of cake
2. The opportunities in the street near you.
This is the marketing, customer centric product design. You move from what the customer need to the product concept. It is the common mistake to move from your ideas, from what the firm can produce produce and hope for the best (marketing myopia) that the product will sell.
The product (me) orientation means that the owner produces a project, product that he likes and then look for buyers. Look for buyers first, user of the product, the opportunity and then produce the product. If you are planning to build a complex, commercial center, find out what will be needed in the area, look for the tenants, and pre sell the units. Lease the building first before building. That is what many developers are doing
NB. Should you find trouble in uploading your reports at the blog, you may find it more convenient to post/upload at the Medical Entrep fb group acount

Business draft - Seniors' Holistic Center by Rosalyn P. Donato
Business Plan Draft
MedEntrep
Entrepreneur: Rosalyn P. Donato
Business Plan
Cabanatuan Seniors' Holistic Center
Draft Business Plan v.0.1
I. THE BUSINESS
A. Business Concept
Cabanatuan Seniors' Holistic Center is envisioned to be housed inside the hospital compound of the Good Samaritan Health Systems, Inc. located along Burgos Avenue, Cabanatuan City. The center will be a venue where consultation on the holistic quality of life care management in caring for older adults or others facing ongoing health challenges. Seniors who have just been discharged from a medical facility after a medical "incident" have special needs wherein the family is usually not prepared for. Professionally trained Quality of Life Care Managers (QLCM) will be at hand in providing guidance and a comprehensive care plan that will lead families to actions and decisions that ensure quality care and optimal life for loved ones. The QLCM's will coach, coordinate and facilitate the care plan to alleviate worry/stress of family caregivers.
On the other hand, we also have a special subset of seniors, who upon reaching the age of 60 and onwards, do not give us the image of old and weak people but rather they behave like they are at the prime of their lives. They have more time and money in their hands but they have very little things to do. This group of people are the active seniors. Now that their children already have their own lives, a lot of them get bored at home and would also like to be productive. They also want to spend time and do something together with people of the same mindset and same generation. This center is to provide them a venue for worthwhile activities wherein there will be scheduled classes with different interests like arts, exercise, yoga, computers, etc. The center can also organize/coordinate field trips, seminars, dances, pilgrimages and retreats for senior clients. The CSC will be a one stop shop, where they can make good use of their time doing worthwhile/ learning activities as well as build meaningful friendships and relationships among their peers.
It will be a hub for seniors catering to their well being and special needs.

Today, we start our long case by having the case of Jose Lontoc dissected laparascopied by the class as it were with a lead group being the chief panelist for the analysis. After a brief presentation of the relevant fact of the case, the fun begins. The group will have to engage the class in the case analysis
In case we have forgotten, let us refresh our knowledge on case analysis
Case analysis:
This is the supposed primary tool of MBA begun in Harvard. A real life situation, written by expert case writer is made. Relevant facts are embedded in the story, and the MBA student is tested to find out the relevant facts, separate the chaff from the grain and make a sense a direction from out of the story.
Thus in the days of yore, we were taught that the procedure for case analysis are as follows:
1. Objective or hypothesis setting
What is the case all about? Are you trying to sort financial, operational, hr, marketing concerns?j What is your hypothesis, theory (suspect about the case) That will make it easier for you to analyze.
This happens after the first reading
2. What is the situation (situation analysis) and relevant facts (Situation Analysis)
What is the scenario, the events in the case. Avoid doing a hindsight analysis if you know what was the sequel to the evetnt. Stay with the facts. What are the RELEVANT FACTS.? This is where discernment comes in. Be observant. This is a training for OLO (Observe, Learn Observe) Comes in. This is compared to the DX. Based on theories, and your experience, you determine what are important and what are meant to confuse you or sway you away from your theory. Eg, for dengue, and you suspect that the manifestations are of dengue, what are the patient's vitals you need to find out more? What tests would you require.
This is the analysis portion critical thinking
3. Problem Analysis
What are restraining forces that prevents the enterprise to move on.? What casues the symptom?
What needs to be corrected. Here you need to compare the sitaution with a norm or the standard (Like differential dx) You compare normal vs abnormal physiology based or levels (like in the CBC where the limits are defined)
In KT, this is the comparison between What is, (the normal) and wht is not (the current situation which could be abnormal. This is similar to car repari, where you remove a suspected part, and replace it in the meantime with a normal new part and see what happens?
4. Alternative Generation
Who says that a problem can not be solved. For every problem, there are a dozen option you can generate (This is where your creativity and critical thinking comes in.
For every lock there are keys you can use to open it.
5. Decision analysis
Here is where you make your choice of the best alternative. You measure your decision on:
1. Cost benefit analysis Is the solution more expensive than the current losses or dysfunction?
2. Relate it your overall obsjective VMOKRAPI
3. Relate it the consequences: to other departments/system, to other business unit, and now with the society (inclusivenesss)
I hope this helps you in the case analysis

Business Plan:
I. TITLE OF BUSINESS:
Conversion of OPD-based Clinica de la Assumption into an Infirmary Hospital in 2017
II. BUSINESS BACKGROUND:
The ever growing medical -surgical clinic is moving into its 15th anniversary this year, 2016. A medical surgical clinic which aims to promote and provide the best quality health to the populace of the province. This institution is founded with Christian values of humility, honesty, patience, perseverance and compassion. At its nativity, it was named CLINICA ASSUMPTA which later had its final nomenclature as Clinica de la Assumption (CDLA) as legally approved by the Department of Trade and Industry. Such nomenclature was after the youngest daughter of the couple founders ASSUMPTA MINETTE who was born on the Feast of our Lady of the Assumption. The initial abode of the clinic was the old bishop's palace during the early 1960's owned by the Lizardo clan located at McKinley Street beside the cathedral AND formerly served as the Bishop's Palace in the 60's. Presently, CDLA is now housed at the old PNB building which the couple acquired five years ago after ten years of patience, rigorous and compassionate service.
During the course of their six months practice in the province, the couple felt the essentials vital for their practice. DOH accredited health facilities such as primary medical laboratory, drug testing laboratory, secondary radiology unit, ECG, and 3D-Ultrasound were gradually incorporated, and hence, CDLA is towards the attainment of its vision. Recently, a BFAD licensed pharmacy completed the ancillary service, making this 2015, a complete package of a "One Stop Shop" Clinic.
More aspirations and plans are envisioned in this institution, that is, to become the best primary health facility by the year 2017 through the construction of an extension building to include rooms for confinement as a requirement of an infirmary health care facility base on the standards of the Department of Health. This is conceived in response to the clamor of our valued patients. Hence, CDLA will render better health service to the residents of the province. <business model Dra?>
III. OBJECTIVE OF THE BUSINESS:
VISION
Clinica de la Assumption will be the best and most affordable infirmary health care facility in the province in 2017.
Its goals is geared towards the promotion and provision of an excellent primary health care service to all the people of the province. This could be achieved by the following undertaking:

Ateneo Professional School
Makati Philippines
June 13, 2016
This chair notes that some of the students have not submitted their business concepts, models, organization. The next one to be submitted will be business objectives.
Our plan for the class is to have the students work on the BP during the semester, patak patak during the term every session. and submit the same at the end of the term. The cases and the SR are meant to illuminate the students on the BP making and submission The business plan is 30% of the total grade and is a major requirement, and is a graduation skill needed for strama preparation. At the end of the semester, I have only 7 days, as is required under the new rules to submit the grade. If you do not submit, Inc will be given to you which turns into an F if 30 days lapse.
So I encourage everyone to work on the business plan as is the plan in the syllabus. Otherwise, you will cram and face the possibility of getting low grade. Not a nice record
