Feedback on the business plan draft submitted

Innovation in health care in many ways

These are my comments regarding the business plan draft submitted last Saturday.  Thank to all those who did their best to comply.

1. The drafts are still work in progress. Most are only 30 to only 40% done.  A lot more work has to be done to put flesh into the business plan. As we say that MDs are scientific and evidence based, the BP has to be buttressed with more information (clearer information) that the concept will work

2.  There are those who subscribe to other BP formats. There are about several thousand business plan formats. But for our purposes, the business plan format that shall be graded only shall subscribe to this format and which was published in the web site:

Notes on business plan submission

3.  Required parts of the business plan and their weights/points system of grading:

Submission of outputs for business plan

Innovation in health care in many ways

Ateneo Professional School
Makati Philippines
June 13, 2016

This chair notes that some of the students have not submitted their business concepts, models, organization.  The next one to be submitted will be business objectives.

Our plan for the class is to have the students work on the BP during the semester, patak patak during the term every session. and submit the same at the end of the term. The cases and the SR are meant to illuminate the students on the BP making and submission  The business plan is 30% of the total grade and is a major requirement, and is a graduation skill needed for strama preparation.  At the end of the semester, I have only 7 days, as is required under the new rules to submit the grade.   If you do not submit, Inc will be given to you which turns into an F if 30 days lapse.

So I encourage everyone to work on the business plan as is the plan in the syllabus. Otherwise, you will cram and face the possibility of getting  low grade.   Not a nice record

Notes comments on submission of concepts/drafts for Business Plan

Innovation in health care in many ways

Ateneo Professional Schools
Makati City  May 30, 2016

Thank you for the submission of your business plan concept, drafts.  It is heartwarming that the majority of the class (with the exception of those who were absent twice) have submitted. That means many will be able to comply/submit a major requirement of the course and that all are focused and enthusiastic in our mission to submit a business plan

Here are my comments:

1.  The choice of topic (and some have multiple topics) depend on your priority, your budget/resources available (if you really intend to pursue the business plan) If you have zillions available and you can show me your credit line/passbook, then go for it.

2.  Discern also if your proposed plan will just fall into a new idea or a process improvement.  The business plan that we are thinking of has threshold of P3 million, and you must be able to show an ROI and financials

3.  Please read/follow the posts on business planning, business concept, business objectives (VMOKRAPI) and business models for more information

4.  The format contents of the BP has to comply with the one prescribed by the course for ease of grading.  (Dra Katrina's submission followed the format

Allow me to repost:  from  Business Plan series

Definition

A business plan is a document that defines business objectives of a new or about to be turned around existing business and strategie- s (activities and resources to be used) to attain such objectives.  It includes the organization, the market study, the product, the customer, and financial projection on how the objectives are to be met.  From Investopedia

As in any major paper:  strama, thesis, etc. the burden of proof to show that the plan will work, the objectives can be met is on  the writer, proponent who must do intensive research analysis and proving.   You have to present a winning, innovative winning case:  a winning business plan (This should be like the way you did the crime planning, well thought of and detailed/meticulous
