Business Plan Draft- By Entrep Lorenzo F. Merillo

BUSINESS PLAN:
Auto-SCoRE (Automated-Structured Skills and Core Competencies Revalidation and Evaluation) System
Lorenzo F. Merillo, RPh
1.  The Business
A. Business Concept

Most companies are now opting to outsource their manpower. This is cost efficient on the part of the management but in most cases the competencies of the personnel might not be at par with the standards.
Our company is a provider of healthcare professionals (dietitian, nurses, pharmacists and related courses) and continuing education for Healthcare providers.
Auto-SCoRE or Automated-Structured Skills and Core Competencies Revalidation and Evaluation System is a new methodology that aims to ensure that healthcare providers comply with the standards by keeping them on track. The system is a combination of continuing education modules that are linked to different evaluation/revalidation tools to continuously measure the progress of each participant and  ---->>

Great afternoon for learning today, June 4, 2016 for MBAH Medical Entrepreneurs

Innovation in health care in many ways

Ateneo Professional Schools
Makati City, June 4, 2016

Entrepreneur Dr. Hazel opened the afternoon Entrep session with her
Memorable "Attitude is Everything"  a reminder on Self Mastery

The session today which is the 3rd with me (the 4th as per schedule) included:   continuation of the crimes, the Special Report, example of case analysis, and lecture of opportunity, innovation, imitation

1.  The crime presentation led to the conclusion after hearing the St. Ignatius de Loyolas leadership by EnterepreneurDr Kiko that many of those who sinned and were bad eventually became good, thus, we sometimes have to know bad in order to be good.(that there must be fire as in this class for the students to be strong and good)  Also the author pointed out that the processes involved in the  crime planning is the same and even of a higher level than planning the legal business. For example the Brussels airport and subway bomber used a bomb made from concentrated Hydrogen Peroxide which is deadlier yet undetectable and made from common readily available antiseptic at drugstores and supermarket. And this led to the discussion of business plan

2.  The business concept which can be:

     The main value proposition

Which satisfies the customer need for jobs, gain ,and pain reduction (what pisses you off)

3.   Which led to the presentation of Entrepreneur Dr. Dom on the 55 business model innovation by Gassman.  He bought the book for this presentation (what an effort and expenditure)  This post suggested that we draw lots but he preferred the use of Random Number generator which turned out to be better. Beginning with Entrerpreneur Dr. Biboy, (who was the only one who successfully submitted a business model canvass) we experimented how the 55 BM can be applied.  And many said they had to rethink the business plan they submitted.

4.  As for the discussion on opportunity, the professor emphasized that opportunity is not a just PESTEL occurence but a factor that can mean MBA -  My Bank Account or anything about cash.
We practiced spotting opportunity by going through the  MC2 case. The contest was won by the group of Dra. Burgos and Mikee who had 8 accepted opportunities.  Their group gets a 4 for this.

5. Special reports:

There were only 3:  Attitude is everything by Enterepreneur Dra. Hazel. Aside from being first, the presentation got a 4 for being what an ideal SR should be..   St Ignatius de Loyola, by Entreprenerur Dr. Kiko and the Business Model Innovation 55 Business Model Template by Entrepreneur  Dr. Dom

It was  a  great afternoon for learning

NB:   We need only 10 items for submission for NU 10, not ten items per week. There are two who haved complied and have a grade. Drs Santiago and Burgos.  Congratulations

We missed Entrepreneur Dr. Jun Jun and Aisa

Business Plan Draft by Charis Santiago - Lying in Clinic in Every Town

Business Plan
Charis S. Santiago
MBAH  Entrep

Lying in Clinic in Every Town

It was during our residency training at Dr Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital that this business concept was created. Alongside with the situation in our area that I observed when I had my community service for 5 months. It was that there were number of pregnant women who do not receive proper prenatal check ups during pregnancy resulting to complications and high cost of hospitalization. Some were not compliant to have their prenatal care done even on health centers. Others were compliant to have regular prenatal care but do not receive complete care given by the local health centre due to lack of manpower or lack of training of the health care providers.

Based on the demographics nationwide, there were increasing mortality and morbidity among pregnant mothers and perinatal death. Some of the leading causes of perinatal death is premature births, sepsis neonatorum, respiratory distress syndrome and congenital anomalies. These cases were in a way preventable and manageable provided it be detected early or at least suspected early as risk factors during prenatal check ups. However, sadly, as stated, there were few care or incomplete care given at that. Hence, as  an OB gynecologist, I was alarmed with the current situation and at the same time passionate on giving what I know and what I have to help build our society.
With that, I saw this opportunity of putting up several lying-in clinics or at least put up 1 lying-in clinic in every town. It will be composed of group of 3-5 skilled midwives managing that facility, 1 utility and myself as a coordinator.

That will resolve the issue of poor prenatal care received by patients. This will also give opportunities to midwives that are available in the area more than the availability of a nurse.
